Spotting aphids before the colony forms

By the time leaves curl, you have 10,000 aphids. Computer vision catches the first ten under leaf surfaces.

Aphids reproduce parthenogenetically. A single founder produces 50-80 nymphs over two weeks.

Mount cameras at canopy underside angles. Tag the first sighting with a coloured marker. Spray within 48 hours.

Biological control with Aphidius colemani works if released at first detection, not after curl is visible.
